I’ve described my whole life in music. And I go on writing that diary, humbly and joyfully, fascinated. No real art has ever been created without leaving a piece of your true heart on the stage

Janusz Bielecki’s works are part of the repertoire of renowned artists and programmes of prestigious concert halls in Poland and abroad, notably the Palau de la Música Catalana in Barcelona, the Great Hall of the Musikverein in Vienna, and Sydney Opera House.

A sensitive explorer of the sounds of everyday life. Within just a few years, he found himself among the Polish artists earning enthusiastic reviews and a devoted audience. He has captivated both critics and listeners with the sincerity of his artistic expression, refined form, and a commitment to flawless performance. In Janusz Bielecki’s music, you easily find emotions close to every stirring of the heart, awe and wonder at beauty, and reflections on the human condition. This may be why music lovers are so enthusiastic about the Kraków composer’s works, whether on traditional CDs or on streaming platforms.

Bielecki debuted with Rozterka / Quandary, an album that brought together a collection of soulful piano compositions. The albums Żądze / Desires for chamber orchestra and Żądze / Desires for symphony orchestra, brimming with his emotionally charged compositions, soon followed. Lustra / Mirrors, another work from the time, combines classical music with jazz, while the Sekrety / Mysteries suite for piano and symphony orchestra surprised listeners with a musical portrayal of the eternal human journey from birth to death.

A similar theme became the central focus of Zegary / Clocks, a work for piano and symphony orchestra recording reflections on the passage of time.

In 2012, Janusz Bielecki composed virtuoso pieces such as Kolory lata / Colours of Summer for solo flute, piano, and orchestra, and Concertino for solo flute or clarinet, string orchestra, piano, and percussion. A year later, the world premiere of his piece Melancholia for violin and orchestra took place at the Shanghai Opera House.

Bielecki’s later works include Symfonia Zmysłów / Symphony of the Senses in four movements, written in the style of film music for large symphonic forces, the light-hearted and playful Miniatury taneczne / Dance Miniatures; the neoclassical Concerto for two flutes and string orchestra, Sonata Libera for flute and organ, inspired by choral traditions, and Passacaglia, in which he pays homage to J.S. Bach and G.F. Handel.

Besides these two composers, Janusz Bielecki also draws inspiration from composers such as Chopin, Schumann, and Bartók.

Bielecki’s oeuvre consists of chamber and symphonic concerts, extending to soundtracks for films and theatrical performances and musical settings for prestigious events.

In 2009, he established the Bielecki Art Foundation, which, by supporting culture and science, fosters the development of talented young people.
